Confession: I was the kid who wrote short stories in class instead of listening to the teacher!
To my high school and college friends' exasperation, I was the girl who usually had a camera in hand snapping photos of everything and everyone!
After earning a degree in Journalism from Baylor University, I worked as a photographer at "Harmon Homes" and "The Real Estate Book" before landing a job at a weekly newspaper in San Antonio and working my way up to Sports Editor.
Later on, my spirit of adventure as a "calculated risktaker" would take me to new places of employment all across Texas and throughout the 4-Corner States as well as California. My writing experience, project management skills, and
My passion for Wellness didn't really kick in until my late 20s, and even then, it was a slow-moving train.
Both my grandmas shared "the old ways" for assisting the body's common ailments, like peppermint for an upset tummy, or cool caffeinated coffee on a cotton ball for sunburned skin.
Back in 2016, I was introduced to doTERRA by a friend back after a stressful life event. It was as if all those old teaching from my grandmas made sense, and I embraced plant-based health alternatives full throttle.
I removed toxic chemicals from my home environment, and have embraced a holistic approach to my daily wellness routine.
In April of 2021, I purchased a Kangen water machine for the health benefits of ionized water at the cellular level. I'm still learning new ways to utilize all seven levels of this powerful rejuvenating water.
I am an adventurer, a happy multi-project juggler, and a calculated risk taker.
As a proud Army BRAT, I have never stayed in one place for too long (maybe because none of cities I lived in brought me back to the beach until Port Aransas!).
The first three of my four years of life I lived as a true "beach baby" on Oahu, Hawai'i, one of the many places my family was stationed before we ended up in San Antonio.
In 2013, my family thought I had lost my marbles when I sold my 3/2/2 house in Waco to travel Texas in an RV with my rescue pets.
For more than seven years, I have "wintered" in Port A. Last year (non-travel year, obviously), I realized Port A and the Texas Gulf Coast is where I want to live full-time! A bulk of my photography features the beauty and charm of Port A, and I enjoy the constant rotation of visitors.
While San Antonio may be my home base, Port Aransas is home!
